Read full description of the books Sir Gawain, His Squire and His Lady:

Sir Gawain and his squire Terence have set off on another adventure, only to be deterred by a surprise disaster. As a result, Gawain must meet with the invincible Green Knight in a contest that could easily be Gawain's last. But the road to impending death is never easy, and theirs is filled with danger and mishaps. Along the way Gawain and Terence cross paths with many odd men. Even odder creatures from the Other World will teach Terence about his past, and perhaps a little about his future. Gawain and Terence must rescue a not-too-typical damsel-in-distress, Lady Eileen, from the evil Marquis of Alva. In Lady Eileen, Terence may have met his match, in more than one way.

One thing is certain: when Gawain and Terence finally encounter the Green Knight, it will be the knight's turn to be surprised.

Read information about the author

Ebook Sir Gawain, His Squire and His Lady read Online! Gerald Morris is an award-winning author, best known for his retellings of Arthurian legends for preteen and teen readers.

His first series, called The Squire's Tales, focuses primarily on a squire named Terence, alongside his knight, Sir Gawain. Whilst these two characters remain in the series, the majority of the later books introduce new protagonists. As the series progresses, the tone becomes darker, to reflect the bleak ending of the original legends. All of the main heroes' storylines are picked up again in the final book, The Legend of the King.
His second series, The Knights' Tales, is for younger readers and began with The Adventures of Sir Lancelot the Great, published in 2008, followed by The Adventures of Sir Givret the Short in the same year.

Morris was born in Riverside, California in 1963, the son of Russell A. Morris. He was educated at the Oklahoma Baptist University and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He married Rebecca Hughes, has 3 children, and now lives in Wausau, Wisconsin. He also lived for a short time in Oklahoma. Apart from writing, Morris teaches theology and serves as a pastor for church.
